Fiscal Vertigo

I'm getting dizzy with the Canadian Dollar reaching such unheard of before heights. It's a bit of a shame to think that it's mostly because of the failures of the Bush administration and the fact we have piles of really expensive sandy mud that the world now covets as oil flirts with $100 a barrel.

Something's not quite right with this picture, is that brimstone I smell on the horizon? I've lived through enough recessions in the past to recognize the odor, that's how I wound up in Toronto, I needed a job back in 1982 until I could get back on my feet.

I'm still here after 25 years, I can't go back to BC and make the same money I do here. I could fly back to Toronto every month and that would be enough to keep the clients happy but the cost of living where I would like in Vancouver is insane, might as well move to Manhattan (I would love that). At the rate our Dollar is going I just might be able to, for a while at least.
